Juegaterapia presents the documentary "La quimio jugando se pasa volando", based on a study published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research, which shows that playing also cures.
Video games could be included as part of a non-pharmacological treatment plan for paediatric oncological mucositis.
The documentary is part of a dissemination campaign with which the foundation wants to "reach hospital medical directors in order to include video games in the protocols of health therapies".
According to Reinoso-Barbero, "the clinical implications of these findings would be important, because video games could be included as part of the non-pharmacological therapeutic plan for paediatric oncological mucositis".

Synopsis
In the solitude of a hospital room, a video game console becomes a powerful aid to help the children in the hospital smile, raise their heads and discover their desire to win.
Every game played is a game won if it makes the day go by without pain and without fear. The Juegaterapia Foundation has been working for 10 years to demonstrate that play positively predisposes children to healing. Thanks to Dr. Mario Alonso Puig and the medical team at the Hospital La Paz in Madrid, they have been able to prove it scientifically. The voice of Alejandro Sanz, godfather of the Foundation, is the guiding thread of this beautiful story of love for life and a fierce fight against childhood cancer.
