Like a bolt of lightning with superpowers ⚡️ comes today our new solidarity project, friends, the Supermask Headscarf, created to reduce the impact of hair loss in children undergoing treatment. A headscarf with a built-in mask that generates extraordinary abilities... ✨ ⚡️

The Juegaterapia Foundation has set up the website www.elsuperpoderdeayudar.org, which explains what the project consists of and where it is possible to buy the scarf or even give one to a hospitalised child, to whom the foundation itself will send it.

Siblings are those little pillars of the family, who also struggle in their own way with the disease, who continue with their studies, advance and help, sometimes giving up the limelight in favour of the sibling who needs it most at that moment. With this campaign we want to pay them a well-deserved tribute. Because wherever they are, #LosHermanosTambiénCuran 💙. Always. We are sure of it.

"Thank you, brother. Thank you, sister. Without you I would sometimes fall". At the Juegaterapia Foundation we pay tribute to the siblings of children with cancer, giving them back the same love and support that they give every day.

Bye bye Chemo - Spot

When a child says goodbye to chemo, the hospital usually hears the joyful ringing of a bell. Sounds of happiness for the family that is ending the cycle and of hope for the family that is beginning treatment. But above all it is a hymn to freedom, it is a child becoming a child again, a family regaining its life and feeling free to laugh and shout with happiness. On 15 February 2022, International Children's Cancer Day, we wanted to see how the little ones rang that bell and took off the scarf that used to cover their heads, waving it to say Bye Bye Chemo. We celebrated with them that they were once again free to choose, to make plans, to travel, far away from the cable that linked them to the hospital.

Carmen and Maria

Carmen, a teenager cured of cancer, and María, a girl undergoing cancer treatment, are the protagonists of a true story of friendship. Friendship means that a child does not feel alone when they are going through the complex world of their illness. Friendship calms the mind, protects the body and cheers the soul and helps healing'. This was our campaign for International Childhood Cancer Day, 15 February 2021.

At the Juegaterapia Foundation we are convinced that "Joy also cures" and that is what we are sharing in 2020. Because every day we see how children cope better with their illness with laughter, and we can all help them to achieve this! With this campaign, we are trying to turn the hymn to joy par excellence into a joyful hymn for children - for all of you little ones!

Do you know why Juegaterapia exists? Because of Ruth, because of Ana, because of José Luis. Strong and brave little ones that we see smiling every day. Even if it's hard, even if their bodies hurt or their minds are exhausted. From them we have learned that joy is a powerful medicine. Thanks to them we know that joy also cures.

On 15 February 2019, we are celebrating International Children's Cancer Day by making the little ones who are fighting the disease every day the protagonists of an emotional campaign. This year we are giving them something they richly deserve. A round of applause. The most important applause of their lives. A way of telling them "You are doing well", "Count on me", "But look how big you are! All this and much more was what the #AplausoJuegaterapia meant.

Baby Pelones - Spot

Our Baby Pelones have put their passports in order, packed their bags and set off on a beautiful journey on an Iberia flight that will take them to Argentina, no less. There they will land, full of hope and with a lot of love to give as a present. 80 of them will stay there forever, happy to be able to brighten the lives of the children admitted to the Garrahan Paediatric Hospital in Buenos Aires. With this journey, and many more that our little furry ones will undertake from now on, at Juegaterapia we want to ensure that all the children in the world, whoever they are and wherever they are, can receive the love of the cutest dolls in the world. This is the story of an exciting journey. Enjoy it with us!

Our first membership recruitment campaign in 2013. The first group of Juegaterapeutas was formed by Pablo Ibáñez (El Hombre de Negro), Nieves Álvarez, presenter and model, Álvaro Arbeloa, player of the Spanish national football team, Laura Sánchez, actress, Luis Figo, former Real Madrid player and Helen Svedin, model. A thousand thanks to all of them!

All the new members were given a personalised badge with their name and that of their new friend: a little boy who was fighting cancer at the time.

Miriam

On 17 May Miriam was diagnosed with thoracic lymphoma. Just the week before, José Sierra donated the console he bought last year to Juegaterapia. The console may not be able to cure Miriam, but during the time of her treatment, it will give her 2 pistols to eliminate moments of sadness.

Joselyn

On 4 June Joselyn was diagnosed with epitheloid sarcoma. A few months later, Raúl Domínguez donated the console he had not yet unpacked from the move to Juegaterapia. The console may not be able to cure Joselyn, but it will make her feel like a Rock Star while she finishes her next dose of chemo,

David

On 4 July David was told he had spinal aplasia. María Garrido had recently donated to Juegaterapia a console that he had forgotten in a corner. The console may not be able to cure David, but it will make him smile while his body accepts the transplant of a new bone marrow and will make him leave his obligations with the disease and attend to his duties with Luigi.

Jonathan

On 20 March Jonathan was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. On the same date Eva Gutiérrez donated the console he was given last year to Juegaterapia. The console may not be able to cure Jonathan, but it will make him forget everything and feel like a powerful prince, something he has earned in his own right.

ABOUT JUEGATERAPIA

The Juegaterapia Foundation helps children with cancer through play. It collects video game consoles that people no longer use and distributes them to paediatric oncology rooms in Spanish hospitals so that children with cancer can spend their chemo cycles playing and forget about their illness.
