Niño Jesús Hospital in Madrid

Essences of the Retreat

In the Retiro there is an area of greenhouses called the Cold Stove where all kinds of aromatic and decorative plants are grown, as well as vegetable plots. The day hospital will be transformed into La Estufa Fría, coinciding in the central corridor with the door of the day hospital.

The idea is to suggest to the children what the Retreat smells like, and that each day they can choose a scent for the Day Hospital while they receive treatment and in this way become familiar with the smells of the plants. AN OLFACTORY EXPERIENCE

WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO SMELL LIKE TODAY?

An aromatherapy project with a serene and relaxing atmosphere.
Wooden elements help to create a natural and relaxed atmosphere. The naïf style illustrations with touches of colour bring freshness and joy. The colours on the different plants illustrate the aroma they give off.
